This picture just screamed too much GREEN! I bet some of the people's eyes exploded looking at this. ; Green is probably the color I am the most scared of using whenever I design/color stuff. I'm not a huge fan green (except greenish blue - but that's really teal <3) but I thought the crazy lime green was good with the dot patterns I'm growing too fond of these days. Yellow had to be in there even though the slug is yellow himself... yup. Wished I could better match that yellow-orange polka dot strip though. I couldn't figure out a better way to do it.
Feel free to crit. Especially on my use of green, I've been more sucessful with using other colors. I know I drew Slinkman a little off. But I spent more time on the graphic bg than the actual lineart and coloring.
This was for a Slinkman birthday thing because... Camp Lazlo's banana slug's b-day is June 9th. I also wanted to upload it later (like on the 9th, lol!) but I might be busy on that day so here it is 2 days early.
Luckily you're still good because green, lime green and yellow are considered analogous and therefore when you see them together they actually look pleasing to the eye (rather than eye-bleedingly tacky) The various alterations of pattern/texture help keep the energy up (WAY up) throughout too~
I think the only thing really was the darker green bands running diagonal start to look too plain compared to all the other great stuff going on, ya know? =\ Maybe if they had something extra going on, because they start to make the picture look flat and/or incomplete.
Omg I love this guy! You make me wet my pants... that I don't wear!
The green doesn't bug me... since my favorite color is green. In my opinion, the composition is wonderful and not too distracting to the actual subject. Wonderful use of dots</fragment>. I like the way Slinkman is posed; it brings an "actiony" expression... voicing that he's ready to do the daily activities/chores with great eagerness because he enjoys his job (or DOES HE!?). You make me smile... and I rarely smile. [insert heart here]

This cute slug is my favorite on the show.
About the drawing:
A little too many bright colors. But, it's not too bright. You should've put more colorful colors in there. And, yeah, there is a little too much green.
But, it's an amazing picture nonetheless.

I forgot what site I downloaded it from but it's the same killah' font used for the very bottom line as well. It's called "Killerswitch" or something like that. It's such a fun active font that seemed went well with the killer lime-lemon color combo I had.
Now I want to experiment with more hyper greens and yellows. But thanks so muchly for the comment.
I do agree with you on the green strips and will try to keep that in mind whenever I do something similiar again. I was actually more worried about the yellow-orange strip more than those lines.
